Description
Our Cagrilintide 10mg vial holds 10mg of lyophilized Cagrilintide, a long-acting amylin analog, made and tested in the USA. It’s intended for lab research only.
Cagrilintide at a glance
Cagrilintide is a long-acting amylin analog from Novo Nordisk, given weekly. Amylin is a hormone released with insulin that slows stomach emptying and reduces appetite.
It’s being developed with semaglutide as CagriSema.
Cagrilintide mechanism of action
Amylin is released by the pancreas together with insulin. It slows stomach emptying, damps glucagon after meals and signals fullness through the brainstem.
Natural amylin clumps and clears fast. Cagrilintide is changed to stay soluble and carries a fatty acid for albumin binding, which gives it a long half-life. It’s often studied next to GLP-1 compounds because the two act through different pathways.

What the research says about Cagrilintide
Enebo and colleagues reported in The Lancet (2021) that cagrilintide with semaglutide gave more weight loss than either alone.
Phase 3 REDEFINE trials followed.

Cagrilintide 10mg vs related compounds
Labs choosing Cagrilintide 10mg usually weigh it against a few close relatives. Cagrilintide works through amylin receptors instead of incretins, often studied next to or with semaglutide, while:
- GLP1-S acts on the GLP-1 receptor only and lasts about a week, the most studied compound in the group
- GLP2-T adds GIP receptor activity to GLP-1, a dual agonist with larger weight effects than semaglutide in trials
- GLP3-R hits GLP-1, GIP and glucagon receptors, the triple agonist with the biggest phase 2 numbers so far
The main difference between these compounds is which receptors they hit. Pick the one that matches the receptor question in your study, and use the others as comparisons. See them all on our GLP-1 peptides page.
Reconstituting Cagrilintide 10mg
The amount of liquid you add sets the concentration. For a vial holding 10mg:
- 1mL of bacteriostatic water gives 10mg/mL
- 2mL of bacteriostatic water gives 5mg/mL
- 3mL of bacteriostatic water gives 3.33mg/mL
Choose the volume that suits your measurements. Mark the vial with the concentration and date so nobody has to guess later.
Bacteriostatic water is the usual choice. Add it slowly so it runs down the side of the vial, then swirl or roll until everything dissolves. Shaking can shear peptide chains. Skip it.
How to store Cagrilintide 10mg
Store sealed vials of Cagrilintide 10mg in the freezer (-20°C) or the fridge (2 to 8°C), out of direct light. Mixed solution goes back in the fridge and should be used within about 28 days.
If you keep several vials going at once, our 10 vial container keeps them upright and together on a fridge shelf, and spare 3mL vial caps protect the stoppers once the seals are off.
How Cagrilintide 10mg is tested
Cagrilintide 10mg is made in the USA, and every batch goes to an independent U.S. laboratory before it’s sold. The lab confirms identity, measures the content and checks purity by HPLC. Our standard is 99% or higher.
The certificate of analysis for the batch in stock is posted in the product gallery above. Click through the images and you’ll see the lab report with its date and numbers.
Batches are also screened for endotoxins, heavy metals and sterility. Those contaminant checks matter as much as purity for cell work, where a small amount of endotoxin can skew results.
Ordering Cagrilintide 10mg for a full study
Work out the total amount before you order. Add up what each arm of the study uses across every time point, then divide by 10mg. Round up by one vial so a spoiled sample or a repeat run doesn’t stall the project.
Only reconstitute what you’ll use in the next few weeks. Sealed vials stay stable in the freezer, while a mixed vial should be finished within about 28 days.
If you order more than one vial, check that the batch numbers match before you start. Running a whole study on one batch removes one variable.
