Description
3mL vial caps come in a pack of 10 for $5.00, down from $7.00. They’re black protective caps that fit over the top of standard 3mL peptide vials to cover and protect the stopper. Store discount codes don’t apply to this item.
What vial caps are for
A new peptide vial has a flip-off seal over its rubber stopper. Once you pop that seal off to draw from the vial, the stopper is exposed. Dust gets on it, it gets touched, and it’s easy to forget which vials are open. A cap goes back over the top and covers the stopper between uses.
They also make open vials easy to spot. A black cap on top tells you at a glance that a vial has been opened, which helps if you keep sealed and open vials together.
Which vials they fit
The caps are sized for the 3mL glass vials used for most of our peptides, including BPC-157 10mg, GLP3-R 30mg and GHK-Cu 100mg.
How to use them
- Wipe the stopper with an alcohol swab after each draw.
- Let it dry, then press a cap over the top of the vial.
- Remove the cap and swab the stopper again before the next draw.
The cap is a dust and handling cover. It doesn’t replace swabbing the stopper with alcohol before each use.
Why use 3mL vial caps?
Three practical reasons. First, a bare stopper collects dust and gets touched every time someone moves the vial, and 3mL vial caps keep it covered. Second, open vials look just like sealed ones once they’re in a container, and black 3mL vial caps mark which vials have been used. Third, the cap gives a little protection if a vial tips over in the fridge.
They’re cheap enough to put a fresh cap on every open vial. A 10 pack covers ten vials at once, or a few months of work if you mix one or two vials at a time.
How many do you need?
One cap per open vial. If you keep two or three vials open at once, a single 10 pack of 3mL vial caps lasts a long time, since caps can be wiped and reused. Labs running several compounds side by side often buy two packs.
Pair them with a 6 vial container or 10 vial container, and add bacteriostatic water for mixing, and you have a tidy setup for any study.

- Bacteriostatic Water 30mL (Hospira), $36.00: the larger Hospira vial for labs that mix often
- Acetic Acid Solution 0.6% (10mL), $20.00: for peptides that won’t dissolve in water
- 6 Vial Container, $20.00: a compact sliding-lid case for six vials
- 10 Vial Container, $25.00: keeps ten vials upright and labeled
- Big Everything Box (Vial Storage Case), $40.00: a latching hard case for vials and supplies
Peptide handling basics
Freeze-dried peptides are stable as long as they stay dry and cold. The trouble starts after mixing: a reconstituted peptide sits in water, and from that point heat, light, repeated punctures and bacteria all shorten its life. Good supplies don’t change the chemistry, but they make the routine easier to follow every time.
Three habits cover most of it. Swab the stopper before every draw, keep mixed vials in the fridge and out of the light, and label each vial with what’s in it, the concentration and the date.
