Description

GHK-Cu 100mg is a 100mg vial of GHK-Cu, a copper-binding tripeptide, made in the USA and supplied as freeze-dried powder. It’s for in-vitro and lab research only.

What is GHK-Cu?

GHK-Cu is the tripeptide glycyl-histidyl-lysine bound to a copper ion. GHK occurs naturally in human plasma, saliva and urine, and its levels fall with age.

It’s used widely in skin and wound research, and in cosmetic formulas.

How GHK-Cu acts in the lab

GHK binds copper tightly and can deliver it to cells. Copper is a cofactor for lysyl oxidase, the enzyme that cross-links collagen and elastin, and for antioxidant enzymes.

In cell and animal studies GHK-Cu increased collagen and glycosaminoglycan production, attracted repair cells to wounds, and changed the activity of many genes involved in tissue remodeling.

What the research says about GHK-Cu

Loren Pickart, who first isolated GHK in 1973, has published reviews of its effects on collagen synthesis, wound contraction and gene expression in cell and animal studies.

Maquart and colleagues reported that GHK-Cu increased collagen in rat wound chambers.

GHK-Cu 100mg vs related compounds

Labs choosing GHK-Cu 100mg usually weigh it against a few close relatives. GHK-Cu is the copper-binding tripeptide studied for collagen and skin repair, while:

  • BPC-157 is the 15-amino-acid repair peptide with the largest body of rodent research
  • TB-500 is the 43-amino-acid actin-binding protein, studied for cell movement and wound repair
  • KPV is a three-amino-acid alpha-MSH fragment studied for calming inflammation
  • ARA-290 is an 11-amino-acid peptide from erythropoietin that protects tissue without raising red cells

These are the main peptides in repair research. Each covers a different step, from blood vessel growth and cell movement to calming inflammation and rebuilding the skin matrix. See them all on our healing and recovery peptides page.

Reconstituting GHK-Cu 100mg

Concentration is the amount in the vial divided by the volume of water you add. With 100mg of powder in this vial:

  • 2mL of bacteriostatic water gives 50mg/mL
  • 3mL of bacteriostatic water gives 33.33mg/mL
  • 5mL of bacteriostatic water gives 20mg/mL

Pick the volume that keeps your own calculations simple, then write the concentration and the mixing date on the label. The vial itself holds 5mL, so that’s the upper limit.

Use sterile bacteriostatic water, like our 10mL bacteriostatic water. Let the vial reach room temperature, run the water slowly down the inside of the glass, then roll the vial gently until the powder dissolves. Don’t shake it. Shaking can shear peptide chains.

GHK-Cu 100mg storage and shelf life

Store sealed vials of GHK-Cu 100mg in the freezer (-20°C) or the fridge (2 to 8°C), out of direct light. Mixed solution goes back in the fridge and should be used within about 28 days.

Vials are small and easy to knock over or misplace. Our 6 vial and 10 vial containers keep a whole study’s worth together.

GHK-Cu 100mg purity and lab testing

GHK-Cu 100mg is made in the USA, and every batch goes to an independent U.S. laboratory before it’s sold. The lab confirms identity, measures the content and checks purity by HPLC. Our standard is 99% or higher.

You don’t have to take our word for it. The certificate of analysis for the current batch is in the image gallery at the top of this page, next to the product photo, and it shows the test date and the results.

Purity isn’t the whole story, so batches are screened for endotoxins, heavy metals and sterility too. Write the batch number from the label into your notes so you can match results to the paperwork later.
