Description

GLOW KLOW capsules are a bottle of 60 capsules, each holding 2mg GHK-Cu, 500mcg BPC-157, 500mcg TB-500, 500mcg hyaluronic acid and 500mcg KPV. It’s made in the USA and sold for laboratory research only.

What’s in GLOW KLOW capsules

  • GHK-Cu: 2mg per capsule, 120mg per bottle
  • BPC-157: 500mcg per capsule, 30mg per bottle
  • TB-500: 500mcg per capsule, 30mg per bottle
  • hyaluronic acid: 500mcg per capsule, 30mg per bottle
  • KPV: 500mcg per capsule, 30mg per bottle

The bottle holds 60 capsules. Multiply the per-capsule amount by 60 and you have the total for the bottle, which is handy when you’re planning how many bottles a study needs.

What is GHK-Cu?

GHK-Cu is the tripeptide glycyl-histidyl-lysine bound to a copper ion. GHK occurs naturally in human plasma, saliva and urine, and its levels fall with age.

GHK binds copper tightly and can deliver it to cells. Copper is a cofactor for lysyl oxidase, the enzyme that cross-links collagen and elastin, and for antioxidant enzymes.

About BPC-157

BPC-157 is a 15-amino-acid peptide based on a fragment of body protection compound, a protein first found in gastric juice. It’s one of the most widely studied research peptides, almost entirely in rodents.

Nobody has pinned down a single receptor for BPC-157. Lab studies point to several pathways: it raises VEGF receptor expression, which feeds blood vessel growth, it interacts with the nitric oxide system, and it increases growth hormone receptor levels in tendon cells.

TB-500 (thymosin beta-4) in brief

TB-500 here means thymosin beta-4, a 43-amino-acid protein found in nearly every cell in the body, with high levels in platelets and white blood cells. Inside the cell it binds actin, the protein cells use to change shape and move.

Thymosin beta-4’s main job is holding on to G-actin, the single building blocks of the cell’s internal scaffolding. By controlling how much actin is free to polymerize, it controls how cells move and change shape.

About hyaluronic acid

Hyaluronic acid is a long sugar polymer found in skin, joints and the fluid around cells. It holds a large amount of water, which is why it’s used throughout skin and joint research.

It binds receptors such as CD44 on many cell types and forms the gel that fills the space between cells.

About KPV

KPV is the tripeptide lysine-proline-valine, the C-terminal end of alpha-melanocyte stimulating hormone. It keeps alpha-MSH’s anti-inflammatory activity without the pigment effects.

Alpha-MSH calms inflammation through melanocortin receptors. KPV is its last three amino acids and keeps much of that anti-inflammatory activity.

Working with GLOW KLOW capsules

BPC-157 is a slightly unusual case among peptides: it was first isolated from gastric juice and is reported to stay stable in it, which is why oral BPC-157 shows up in rodent gut studies.

Capsules suit studies built around oral delivery. If your protocol was written for injected material, compare like with like, because absorption by mouth can be very different.

Research behind GLOW KLOW capsules

Loren Pickart, who first isolated GHK in 1973, has published reviews of its effects on collagen synthesis, wound contraction and gene expression in cell and animal studies.

Most of the work comes from Predrag Sikiric’s group at the University of Zagreb. Their rodent studies report faster healing of tendon, ligament, muscle and gut injuries, and Mikus and colleagues described improved burn wound healing in mice.

Goldstein and colleagues reviewed thymosin beta-4’s role in wound repair in 2012, covering faster closure of skin wounds and new blood vessel growth in animal models.

It’s studied in wound healing, joint lubrication and skin hydration models.

Dalmasso and colleagues reported in Gastroenterology (2008) that KPV reduced inflammation in mouse colitis models and was taken up through PepT1.

Planning a study with GLOW KLOW capsules

Work out the total before you order. Count the arms in your study, the number of time points in each and the capsules each time point uses, then divide by 60. Rounding up by one bottle covers a repeat run or a spoiled sample.

Keep capsules from the same batch within one study if you can. The batch number is on the label, and matching it across arms removes one variable from your results.

Lab-tested GLOW KLOW capsules

Every batch of GLOW KLOW capsules are made in the USA and checked by an independent U.S. lab for three things: that it’s the right compound, that the amount matches the label and that purity is 99% or better by HPLC.

On top of purity, each batch is screened for endotoxins, heavy metals and sterility. For cell culture work that screen is often the more important number.

Storing GLOW KLOW capsules

Store GLOW KLOW capsules sealed, in a cool, dry place out of direct light. A fridge is fine if you keep the lid tight so no condensation gets in. Put the lid back on straight after you take capsules out.
