Description
KPV capsules are a bottle of 60 capsules, each holding 500mcg KPV. It’s made in the USA and sold for laboratory research only.
KPV capsules contents
- KPV: 500mcg per capsule, 30mg per bottle
Every capsule carries the same amount, so the per-bottle totals above are simple multiplication: 60 capsules times the amount in each.
KPV in brief
KPV is the tripeptide lysine-proline-valine, the C-terminal end of alpha-melanocyte stimulating hormone. It keeps alpha-MSH’s anti-inflammatory activity without the pigment effects.
It’s small enough to be taken up by gut cells through the PepT1 transporter, which is why it’s studied in models of gut inflammation.
Alpha-MSH calms inflammation through melanocortin receptors. KPV is its last three amino acids and keeps much of that anti-inflammatory activity.
Inside cells it lowers NF-kappaB signaling, the switch for many inflammatory genes. Gut cells take it up through the PepT1 transporter, which is why colitis models are where most of the work is.
Oral research with KPV
KPV is only three amino acids long, and rodent colitis studies have delivered it by mouth, including in nanoparticle carriers aimed at the colon.
Peptides taken by mouth face stomach acid and digestive enzymes, so oral and injected results aren’t interchangeable. If you’re comparing formats, run them as separate arms and keep notes on which one each result came from.

KPV research
Dalmasso and colleagues reported in Gastroenterology (2008) that KPV reduced inflammation in mouse colitis models and was taken up through PepT1.
Laroui and colleagues later packaged KPV in nanoparticles and saw similar effects in mice.

How many bottles of KPV capsules?
Work out the total before you order. Count the arms in your study, the number of time points in each and the capsules each time point uses, then divide by 60. Rounding up by one bottle covers a repeat run or a spoiled sample.
Keep capsules from the same batch within one study if you can. The batch number is on the label, and matching it across arms removes one variable from your results.
Lab-tested KPV capsules
We only sell U.S.-made products, and KPV capsules are no exception. Each batch is tested by an outside U.S. lab for identity, content and purity, with a 99%+ HPLC purity standard.
Scroll through the photos at the top of the page and you’ll find the current batch’s certificate of analysis. We post the actual report, so you can check the figures yourself.
Purity isn’t the whole story, so batches are screened for endotoxins, heavy metals and sterility too. Write the batch number from the label into your notes so you can match results to the paperwork later.
How to store KPV capsules
Keep the bottle closed tight at room temperature or in the fridge, away from heat, light and moisture. Leave any desiccant packet inside. Capsules don’t need reconstituting, so there’s no mixed solution to use up.
