Description
GLP1-S 5mg is a 5mg vial of GLP1-S (semaglutide), a GLP-1 receptor agonist, made in the USA and supplied as freeze-dried powder. It’s for in-vitro and lab research only.
GLP1-S (semaglutide) at a glance
Semaglutide is a GLP-1 receptor agonist developed by Novo Nordisk. A fatty acid chain lets it bind albumin, which gives it a half-life of about a week.
It’s approved as Ozempic and Rybelsus for type 2 diabetes and as Wegovy for weight management.
How GLP1-S works
GLP-1 is a gut hormone released after a meal. It tells the pancreas to release insulin, but only when blood sugar is high, and it slows how fast the stomach empties. Receptors in the hypothalamus pick it up too, which is where its effect on appetite comes from.
Natural GLP-1 is broken down by the enzyme DPP-4 within a couple of minutes. Semaglutide swaps one amino acid to resist DPP-4 and carries a fatty acid that binds albumin in the blood. Together those changes stretch its half-life to about a week, which is why it’s studied as a once-weekly compound.

GLP1-S compared with similar compounds
GLP1-S 5mg is easier to place once you see it next to the compounds it’s usually compared with. GLP1-S acts on the GLP-1 receptor only and lasts about a week, the most studied compound in the group. The others:
- GLP2-T adds GIP receptor activity to GLP-1, a dual agonist with larger weight effects than semaglutide in trials
- GLP3-R hits GLP-1, GIP and glucagon receptors, the triple agonist with the biggest phase 2 numbers so far
- Cagrilintide works through amylin receptors instead of incretins, often studied next to or with semaglutide
The main difference between these compounds is which receptors they hit. Pick the one that matches the receptor question in your study, and use the others as comparisons. See them all on our GLP-1 peptides page.
GLP1-S 5mg reconstitution and concentration
Concentration is the amount in the vial divided by the volume of water you add. With 5mg of powder in this vial:
- 1mL of bacteriostatic water gives 5mg/mL
- 2mL of bacteriostatic water gives 2.5mg/mL
- 3mL of bacteriostatic water gives 1.67mg/mL
Pick the volume that keeps your own calculations simple, then write the concentration and the mixing date on the label.
Most labs use sterile bacteriostatic water; we sell it in 10mL and 30mL vials. Warm the sealed vial to room temperature, add the water slowly along the glass wall and swirl gently until it’s clear. Never shake it.
How to store GLP1-S 5mg
The dry powder keeps best cold. A freezer at -20°C is ideal for long-term storage, and a fridge works for a few weeks. After reconstitution, store it in the fridge and finish it within roughly four weeks.
Vials are small and easy to knock over or misplace. Our 6 vial and 10 vial containers keep a whole study’s worth together.
GLP1-S 5mg purity and lab testing
GLP1-S 5mg is made in the USA, and every batch goes to an independent U.S. laboratory before it’s sold. The lab confirms identity, measures the content and checks purity by HPLC. Our standard is 99% or higher.
Scroll through the photos at the top of the page and you’ll find the current batch’s certificate of analysis. We post the actual report, so you can check the figures yourself.
Purity isn’t the whole story, so batches are screened for endotoxins, heavy metals and sterility too. Write the batch number from the label into your notes so you can match results to the paperwork later.
Choosing a GLP1-S strength
- GLP1-S 5mg (this page): $100.00, about $20.00 per mg
- GLP1-S 10mg: $146.00, about $14.60 per mg
GLP1-S 5mg is the entry size, handy when you only need a little or want to try GLP1-S before committing to a bigger vial.
