Tesamorelin mechanism of action

Tesamorelin binds the GHRH receptor and raises growth hormone and IGF-1. The hexenoyl group on the front end stops DPP-4 from cutting it, which makes it far more stable than natural GHRH.

Its best-documented effect is on visceral fat, the fat around the organs, which is what the Egrifta approval was based on.

Tesamorelin 10mg reconstitution and concentration

The amount of liquid you add sets the concentration. For a vial holding 10mg:

• 1mL of bacteriostatic water gives 10mg/mL
• 2mL of bacteriostatic water gives 5mg/mL
• 3mL of bacteriostatic water gives 3.33mg/mL

Choose the volume that suits your measurements. Mark the vial with the concentration and date so nobody has to guess later. The vial itself holds 3mL, so that’s the upper limit.

Use sterile bacteriostatic water, like our 10mL bacteriostatic water. Let the vial reach room temperature, run the water slowly down the inside of the glass, then roll the vial gently until the powder dissolves. Don’t shake it. Shaking can shear peptide chains.

How to store Tesamorelin 10mg

Freeze-dried Tesamorelin 10mg handles room temperature fine during shipping, but for anything longer keep it in a freezer at -20°C, away from light. Once mixed, keep it in the fridge at 2 to 8°C and use it within about four weeks.
