Description
Ipamorelin 10mg is a 10mg vial of Ipamorelin, a growth hormone secretagogue, made in the USA and supplied as freeze-dried powder. It’s sold for laboratory research only.
Ipamorelin at a glance
Ipamorelin is a pentapeptide growth hormone secretagogue developed by Novo Nordisk. It acts on the ghrelin receptor and releases GH selectively, with little effect on cortisol or prolactin.
It was tested for postoperative ileus but wasn’t approved.
How Ipamorelin works
Ipamorelin mimics ghrelin at the growth hormone secretagogue receptor (GHSR-1a) in the pituitary and hypothalamus. Activating that receptor triggers a GH pulse.
Older secretagogues like GHRP-6 also raised cortisol, prolactin and appetite. Ipamorelin is much more selective, which is why it’s the usual choice when GH release is the only thing being studied.

Ipamorelin research
Raun and colleagues reported in 1998 that ipamorelin released GH in pigs and rats without raising ACTH or cortisol.
A phase 2 trial in bowel surgery patients didn’t meet its main endpoint.

Ipamorelin 10mg vs related compounds
Ipamorelin 10mg is easier to place once you see it next to the compounds it’s usually compared with. Ipamorelin is the most selective ghrelin-receptor peptide, with little effect on cortisol or prolactin. The others:
- GHRP-2 is the strongest GH releaser of the original GHRPs, with a milder appetite effect than GHRP-6
- GHRP-6 releases GH and strongly raises appetite, the classic tool for feeding research
- Hexarelin is a very potent GHRP that also binds CD36 on heart cells
All four act on the ghrelin receptor (GHS-R1a). They differ in strength, in side signals like cortisol, prolactin and appetite, and in how quickly the response fades. See them all on our growth hormone peptides page.
Ipamorelin 10mg purity and lab testing
We only sell U.S.-made products, and Ipamorelin 10mg is no exception. Each batch is tested by an outside U.S. lab for identity, content and purity, with a 99%+ HPLC purity standard.
The certificate of analysis for the batch in stock is posted in the product gallery above. Click through the images and you’ll see the lab report with its date and numbers.
Purity isn’t the whole story, so batches are screened for endotoxins, heavy metals and sterility too. Write the batch number from the label into your notes so you can match results to the paperwork later.
How to reconstitute Ipamorelin 10mg
Here’s the math for 10mg of powder:
- 1mL of bacteriostatic water gives 10mg/mL
- 2mL of bacteriostatic water gives 5mg/mL
- 3mL of bacteriostatic water gives 3.33mg/mL
Pick the volume that keeps your own calculations simple, then write the concentration and the mixing date on the label. The vial itself holds 3mL, so that’s the upper limit.
Most labs use sterile bacteriostatic water; we sell it in 10mL and 30mL vials. Warm the sealed vial to room temperature, add the water slowly along the glass wall and swirl gently until it’s clear. Never shake it.
How to store Ipamorelin 10mg
Freeze-dried Ipamorelin 10mg handles room temperature fine during shipping, but for anything longer keep it in a freezer at -20°C, away from light. Once mixed, keep it in the fridge at 2 to 8°C and use it within about four weeks.
Vials are small and easy to knock over or misplace. Our 6 vial and 10 vial containers keep a whole study’s worth together.
How many Ipamorelin 10mg vials do you need?
Start from the protocol. Total the amount every arm needs from the first time point to the last, divide by the 10mg in a vial and add a spare. It’s cheaper to order once than to wait on a second shipment halfway through.
Mix one vial at a time and keep the rest sealed in the freezer. Dry powder keeps far longer than solution, so there’s no reason to reconstitute everything at the start.
Keep vials from one batch together in a study where you can. The batch number on the label ties each result back to its certificate of analysis.
