Description
Cardiogen 20mg from Certified Peptides is 20mg of Cardiogen in a sealed glass vial. Cardiogen is a synthetic bioregulator tetrapeptide. It’s for in-vitro and lab research only.
About Cardiogen
Cardiogen is a four-amino-acid peptide, Ala-Glu-Asp-Arg. It comes out of Vladimir Khavinson’s bioregulator program at the St. Petersburg Institute of Bioregulation and Gerontology, which proposed that very short peptides can enter the cell nucleus and change gene activity in a particular tissue.
It’s the bioregulator the institute links to heart and blood vessel tissue. It isn’t an approved medicine anywhere and is sold for lab research only.
How Cardiogen works
Khavinson’s group proposes that short peptides like this one pass into the nucleus, bind specific DNA sequences or histone proteins and change how tightly chromatin is packed around certain genes. That would let a tissue-matched peptide turn up the genes that tissue needs.
Most of that evidence comes from cell cultures and aging animals studied by the same institute. Independent labs haven’t confirmed much of it yet, which is worth keeping in mind when you design controls.

What the research says about Cardiogen
Published work on Cardiogen is small and mostly from the St. Petersburg group. Cell studies looked at its effect on cardiomyocyte and fibroblast cultures and on markers of cell renewal.
Some of the same papers compare it with other short peptides in the series, such as Pinealon and Bronchogen, to argue that each sequence has its own tissue pattern.

Cardiogen 20mg reconstitution and concentration
The amount of liquid you add sets the concentration. For a vial holding 20mg:
- 1mL of bacteriostatic water gives 20mg/mL
- 2mL of bacteriostatic water gives 10mg/mL
- 3mL of bacteriostatic water gives 6.67mg/mL
Pick the volume that keeps your own calculations simple, then write the concentration and the mixing date on the label. The vial itself holds 3mL, so that’s the upper limit.
Most labs use sterile bacteriostatic water; we sell it in 10mL and 30mL vials. Warm the sealed vial to room temperature, add the water slowly along the glass wall and swirl gently until it’s clear. Never shake it.
Storing Cardiogen 20mg
Freeze-dried Cardiogen 20mg handles room temperature fine during shipping, but for anything longer keep it in a freezer at -20°C, away from light. Once mixed, keep it in the fridge at 2 to 8°C and use it within about four weeks.
Vials are small and easy to knock over or misplace. Our 6 vial and 10 vial containers keep a whole study’s worth together.
How Cardiogen 20mg is tested
We only sell U.S.-made products, and Cardiogen 20mg is no exception. Each batch is tested by an outside U.S. lab for identity, content and purity, with a 99%+ HPLC purity standard.
You don’t have to take our word for it. The certificate of analysis for the current batch is in the image gallery at the top of this page, next to the product photo, and it shows the test date and the results.
Batches are also screened for endotoxins, heavy metals and sterility. Those contaminant checks matter as much as purity for cell work, where a small amount of endotoxin can skew results.
Ordering Cardiogen 20mg for a full study
Work out the total amount before you order. Add up what each arm of the study uses across every time point, then divide by 20mg. Round up by one vial so a spoiled sample or a repeat run doesn’t stall the project.
Mix one vial at a time and keep the rest sealed in the freezer. Dry powder keeps far longer than solution, so there’s no reason to reconstitute everything at the start.
If you order more than one vial, check that the batch numbers match before you start. Running a whole study on one batch removes one variable.
