Pancragen at a glance
Pancragen is a four-amino-acid peptide, Lys-Glu-Asp-Trp. It comes out of Vladimir Khavinson’s bioregulator program at the St. Petersburg Institute of Bioregulation and Gerontology, which proposed that very short peptides can enter the cell nucleus and change gene activity in a particular tissue.
It’s the sequence the institute assigns to pancreatic tissue. There’s no approved use, and it’s sold here as a lab reagent.
Pancragen mechanism of action
Khavinson’s group proposes that short peptides like this one pass into the nucleus, bind specific DNA sequences or histone proteins and change how tightly chromatin is packed around certain genes. That would let a tissue-matched peptide turn up the genes that tissue needs.
Most of that evidence comes from cell cultures and aging animals studied by the same institute. Independent labs haven’t confirmed much of it yet, which is worth keeping in mind when you design controls.

Pancragen research
Khavinson and colleagues published studies on KEDW in pancreatic cell cultures, reporting changes in the expression of genes tied to pancreatic cell differentiation, such as PDX1 and NGN3.
Like the rest of the series, the work comes mostly from one institute, so independent replication is limited.

How to reconstitute Pancragen 20mg
Here’s the math for 20mg of powder:
- 1mL of bacteriostatic water gives 20mg/mL
- 2mL of bacteriostatic water gives 10mg/mL
- 3mL of bacteriostatic water gives 6.67mg/mL
Choose the volume that suits your measurements. Mark the vial with the concentration and date so nobody has to guess later. The vial itself holds 3mL, so that’s the upper limit.
Most labs use sterile bacteriostatic water; we sell it in 10mL and 30mL vials. Warm the sealed vial to room temperature, add the water slowly along the glass wall and swirl gently until it’s clear. Never shake it.
How to store Pancragen 20mg
Freeze-dried Pancragen 20mg handles room temperature fine during shipping, but for anything longer keep it in a freezer at -20°C, away from light. Once mixed, keep it in the fridge at 2 to 8°C and use it within about four weeks.

Planning a study with Pancragen 20mg
