Description
Each of the 60 capsules in Tesofensine capsules contains 500mcg Tesofensine. Certified Peptides makes it in the USA for lab research use.
Tesofensine capsules contents
- Tesofensine: 500mcg per capsule, 30mg per bottle
The bottle holds 60 capsules. Multiply the per-capsule amount by 60 and you have the total for the bottle, which is handy when you’re planning how many bottles a study needs.
About Tesofensine
Tesofensine is a phenyltropane triple reuptake inhibitor of serotonin, noradrenaline and dopamine, developed by NeuroSearch in Denmark. It was first studied in Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s disease.
Weight loss in those trials shifted its development toward obesity.
Tesofensine blocks the reuptake transporters for three brain chemicals: serotonin, noradrenaline and dopamine. With reuptake blocked, more of each stays active at the synapse.
Raising noradrenaline and dopamine signaling in appetite circuits is thought to explain the reduced food intake seen in trials. It has a long half-life of several days.
Working with Tesofensine capsules
Tesofensine was always developed as an oral tablet, so a capsule matches the clinical research format.
Capsules suit studies built around oral delivery. If your protocol was written for injected material, compare like with like, because absorption by mouth can be very different.

Tesofensine research
Astrup and colleagues reported in The Lancet (2008) a phase 2 trial with up to about 11% weight loss over 24 weeks.
Raised heart rate and blood pressure were noted at higher doses.

How many bottles of Tesofensine capsules?
A bottle holds 60 capsules. Add up how many capsules every arm of the study uses, from first time point to last, and divide by 60 to get the number of bottles. It’s worth keeping one spare for a repeat.
Keep capsules from the same batch within one study if you can. The batch number is on the label, and matching it across arms removes one variable from your results.
Lab-tested Tesofensine capsules
Tesofensine capsules are made in the USA, and every batch goes to an independent U.S. laboratory before it’s sold. The lab confirms identity, measures the content and checks purity by HPLC. Our standard is 99% or higher.
The certificate of analysis for the batch in stock is posted in the product gallery above. Click through the images and you’ll see the lab report with its date and numbers.
Purity isn’t the whole story, so batches are screened for endotoxins, heavy metals and sterility too. Write the batch number from the label into your notes so you can match results to the paperwork later.
Storing Tesofensine capsules
Store these capsules sealed, in a cool, dry place out of direct light. A fridge is fine if you keep the lid tight so no condensation gets in. Put the lid back on straight after you take capsules out.
